England boss Capello has home raided

New England boss Fabio Capello has had his home, accountant's office and several properties he owns raided as part of a £7million tax probe, reports the Daily Mail. Embarrassingly for the Football Association, it has been revealed that search warrants were obtained from a magistrate in October - six weeks before Capello took over as England coach. The details were revealed on Thursday by the Guardia di Finanza (Customs and Excise) officer in charge of the probe; Colonel Gennaro Caramignoli. Caramignoli is carrying out the probe on behalf of Turin prosecutor Marco Gianoglio.

He confirmed that the case involves a possible £7m of undeclared earnings by Capello.
The sums relate to his time at AS Roma and Juventus and his England salary is not part of the investigation. If prosecutors decide there is a case to answer for, Capello could face three years in prison. But as Italy has an amnesty for jail terms of three years or less he is unlikely to go behind bars.

Caramignoli said: "Search warrants were issued and officers visited Capello's home and other properties he owns. "The offices of his accountants, Severgnini in Milan, were also visited and we took away several folders of documents. "Capello has a main home in Leganano, a few miles from Milan, and he also has properties in Milan. All these properties were raided and at all these properties several boxes of documents were taken away.

"I hope to have all the paperwork ready to forward to the prosecutor by the end of the month.
"The sums involved are in the region of 10m and if it proceeds to trial he could be sentenced to three years."
He has been problematic ever since @ Juventus so many probes wonder will he really be found guilty of anything this time round or just like last time not guilty of anything
